Day two of a weekend road trip and it was horrendous weather, which was concerning given the time constraints of the project.
With a big brolly up I paced around the site to absorb the area and the building – looking for clever photographic solutions.
The building is beautifully designed and there is a danger in photographing something that is inherently beautiful. Will a good photo be down to the photographer or the architect?
The building looks like a floating boat or a spaceship. Angular uprights against soft curves. It is visually playful and connects the image of the building to its actual function. A safe haven, enveloping its inhabitants against the outside world.
