I met a few locals on this visit and went for a drive around some of the older places. My driver took me to the oldest hut on the site and I met the owner who gave me permission to photograph their hut. I shot the exterior, the interior and the forest and found out all about how the huts came to be on this site.
The forest was full of lanes and paths and they naturally pulled you down them to other paths. The vegetation was lush and diverse. Rhubarb taller than me, edible plants and trees and bushes and in spite of feeling like a scary forest from a fairy tale, I felt a sense of safety and that at the end of the path there would be something worthwhile. It kind of felt unreal: like a fairy story, an unreal and magical place.
